Economy Lessons
Economy lessons are a cheaper way for new drivers to try out a driving lesson or in the case of experienced pupils a way of keeping down the cost of their lessons by them taking 40 minute lessons as opposed to 1 hour lessons. Another way you can reduce your learning time and save money is by taking extra lessons in addition to your lessons with your instructor with a friend or relative in their car or your car. You can take out short term car insurance with Collingwood and get a discount by giving them our details: Sykes school of motoring Ref No: 92509. Click the button to look at their site.
The DSA guide for the average number of driving lessons required by someone to prepare for the practical driving test is one and half hours per year of age. This can vary according to the individual but may serve as a rough guide. It takes on average 12 months of training to become a driving instructor, so it makes sense to learn with a DSA driving instructor to make sure that the correct syllabus is followed. It can also help to have some private practice with a friend or relative to make sure you follow up all the things you learn in your lessons. The Driving Standards Agency say that a learner on average takes 46 hours of tuition with 22 hours of private practice*. *Source: Driving standards agency website June 2005.
